The Dolly Eye Twilight Yellow Lens Review

Month ago I bought a new pairs of lenses and there were these babies among them.

My main inspiration for these lenses was Korean band VIXX with performance of their song "On and On". My God, band members look so awesome and hot with yellow lenses that I wanted to look like them.

I wanted to order a pair of yellow lenses for a long time but could not find anything that suited my needs. Some did not match my design preferences and other were not the right diameter. But I must say there is not much lenses of yellow color on the internet at all. But sometime this summer my favorite lenses site Candylens started to sell lenses of the Twilight series. I thought about them for a couple of months but could not decide to buy them or not. There were too few pictures of them on the internet and not much of reviews either. But in time my desire took the upperhand and I decided to order these lenses. And I must say I don't regret it~

Lenses by itself have a pretty simple design. Because of the design eyes do not look natural with these babies on but that does not disturb me. Lenses are almost non-transparent and that gives them saturated yellow color. But you should take in account that on dark color eyes the color of the lenses might look like dirty yellow. Sharp black limbal ring gives sharpness to my glance and attracts attention. Thanks to the thick outer ring lenses have the "doll-eye" effect. Inner black ring was a small minus for me. Because of it there is no color transition and on light color eyes natural eye color will be visible a little.

On the lenses I got there was a small factory flaw (only one of the lenses had it). Of course I was disappointed at first but it turns out that the flaw is almost not visible and nobody around noticed it.
Everybody notice the color of the lenses. My friends say that the lenses attract their attention to my eyes, not to the lenses itself.
Lenses diameter is 15mm and they do a great job with the enlargement. I think that these lenses are ideal for cosplay, especially for the char I want to cosplay - Persona 4: Margareth. I will definitely order another pair of these when mine will expire.

These lenses are very comfortable for me. They are very thin and elastic. When I put them on for the first time they caused me no problems and got in place pretty fast and with no pain. Thanks to the fact they are elastic the lenses take form of the eye very fast. In the terms of convenience these lenses can take on lenses of the GEO brand.
Sometimes I was wearing these lenses for less than 8 hours and sometimes for more than 8 hours. The lenses advantage is that they do not dry quickly and you don't feel them at all. When I was first wearing them I was worried that I will have a hard time seeing in the dark because of non-transparency. But I had no problems.

Conclusion:

Color: ★★★★★

Color is awesome. Very bright and saturated colors. It's an ideal choice for a cosplay because they are not only yellow but also are big in diameter. Of course these are not everyday lenses but you can put them on to the bar or some other activities. Especially to the bar where you can attract men ;DD

Design: ★★★☆☆

I like everything about the design. I fill a bit disappointed about the black inner ring and the pattern of the yellow ring because it has small dots of other color. Of course these dots are not visible from far distances but if somebody will stare you right in the eyes they might notice them. But then again, if I was the one to make such lenses I have no idea what pattern I would choose...

Comfort: ★★★★★

One the most comfortable lenses that I tried so far. Even though these series are new the lenses are very quality well-made and are very comfortable. I had no discomfort wearing them

Enlargment: ★★★★☆

It said 15mm diameter in description and it looks like the truth. Although comparing them to others 15mm lenses I have they look a little bit smaller.

Advantages:

★ Bright and saturated colors.

★ Very comfortable in wearing.

Disadvantages:

☆ Because of the inner black ring your glance might look like "dead fish" eyes sometimes ;DD
